Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape After Wang Hui by Zou Yigui was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in March 2014. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 4,536.55) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zou Yigui achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Flowers in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 394,000.00 (€ 350,596.19).
