Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Two works: (i) Nest no. 1; (ii) Nest by Zoe Leonard was sold in the Unbound: Online Auction auction at Phillips in an online auction in October 2019. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 3,125.00 (€ 2,801.43) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zoe Leonard achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Four works: (i) Yellow, Pink, Blue Bundle; (ii) Coca Cola shack; (iii) Two Pairs; (iv) Drop Off A.M. Pick Up P.M. in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,877.66).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Two works: (i) Nest no. 1; (ii) Nest von Zoe Leonard wurde im Oktober 2019 in der Auktion Unbound: Online Auction bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 3.125,00 (€ 2.801,43) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zoe Leonard erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Four works: (i) Yellow, Pink, Blue Bundle; (ii) Coca Cola shack; (iii) Two Pairs; (iv) Drop Off A.M. Pick Up P.M. im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.877,66).
