In February 2016 Phillips in New York held the auction New Now Day Sale, which included the work Two Trees by Zoe Leonard. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,476.08), 35% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zoe Leonard have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Four works: (i) Yellow, Pink, Blue Bundle; (ii) Coca Cola shack; (iii) Two Pairs; (iv) Drop Off A.M. Pick Up P.M. in May 2019 with an auction result of USD 40,000.00 (€ 35,877.66).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 35 % übertroffen
Im Februar 2016 führte Phillips in New York die Auktion New Now Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Trees von Zoe Leonard zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.476,08) und damit 35% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zoe Leonard auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Four works: (i) Yellow, Pink, Blue Bundle; (ii) Coca Cola shack; (iii) Two Pairs; (iv) Drop Off A.M. Pick Up P.M. im Mai 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 40.000,00 (€ 35.877,66).
