Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2021 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Chinese Works of Art, which included the work Two Works Of Calligraphy In Slender-Gold Style by Zhuang Yan. The price achieved of USD 3,187.50 (€ 2,690.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhuang Yan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Kaishu, which sold at auction in April 2019 for HKD 72,500.00 (€ 8,252.61).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2021 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Chinese Works of Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Two Works Of Calligraphy In Slender-Gold Style von Zhuang Yan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 3.187,50 (€ 2.690,33) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhuang Yan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Kaishu beobachtet, die im April 2019 für HKD 72.500,00 (€ 8.252,61) versteigert wurde.
