Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zhu Zumou achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. In the Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings auction, the work Thirteen-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script sold for HKD 138,600.00 (€ 16,454.79) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhu Zumou; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Poems sold at auction in April 2014 with the realized price of HKD 225,000.00 (€ 20,926.46).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhu Zumou erzielte im Mai letzten Jahres bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern and Contemporary Ink Paintings wurde die Arbeit Thirteen-character Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 138.600,00 (€ 16.454,79) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhu Zumou; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Poems im April 2014 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 225.000,00 (€ 20.926,46).
