The work Running Script Calligraphy by Zhu Zhiyu was worth HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,995.37) to a buyer in November 2019. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 many times over. This high result makes Running Script Calligraphy the most expensive artwork by Zhu Zhiyu that we have observed at auctions so far.
