Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy In Cursive Script by Zhu Zhiyu was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 25,000.00 (€ 2,699.20) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Zhiyu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Running Script Calligraphy in November 2019 with an auction result of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,995.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy In Cursive Script von Zhu Zhiyu wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 25.000,00 (€ 2.699,20) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhu Zhiyu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.995,37).
