Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Calligraphy by Zhu Zhiyu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May last year. The price achieved of HKD 63,000.00 (€ 7,479.45) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 50,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Zhiyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Running Script Calligraphy, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,995.37).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Zhu Zhiyu wurde im Mai letzten Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 63.000,00 (€ 7.479,45) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 50.000,00 – 80.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhu Zhiyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.995,37) versteigert wurde.
