This artwork by Zhu Zhiyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2007. In the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy in Running Cursive Script sold for HKD 78,000.00 (€ 7,427.19) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhu Zhiyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Running Script Calligraphy, which sold at auction in November 2019 for HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,995.37).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 95 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhu Zhiyu erzielte im Mai 2007 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy in Running Cursive Script für HKD 78.000,00 (€ 7.427,19) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhu Zhiyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Running Script Calligraphy beobachtet, die im November 2019 für HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.995,37) versteigert wurde.
