Artwork auctioned at three times the upper estimate price
When the work Landscape by Zhu Xinjian was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in October 2017, the result exceeded expectations many times over. The upper estimate was set at a - in retrospect quite modest - HKD 10,000.00 but the actual price achieved was more than three times as high at HKD 37,760.00 (€ 4,155.93). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Xinjian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bird on a Branch in April this year with an auction result of HKD 102,000.00 (€ 104,161.96).
Kunstwerk zum Dreifachen des oberen Schätzpreises versteigert
Als die Arbeit Landscape von Zhu Xinjian im Oktober 2017 bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert wurde, übertraf das Ergebnis die Erwartungen um ein Vielfaches. Der obere Schätzpreis war mit – rückwirkend betrachtet recht bescheidenen – HKD 10.000,00 angesetzt, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis hingegen war mit HKD 37.760,00 (€ 4.155,93) mehr als dreimal so hoch. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhu Xinjian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bird on a Branch im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 102.000,00 (€ 104.161,96).
