Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2019 Phillips in Hong Kong held the auction 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale, which included the work China China (Painted Pottery Edition) by Zhu Wei. The price achieved of HKD 562,500.00 (€ 64,377.97) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 500,000.00 – 700,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Wei achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ink And Wash Research Lectures Series in October 2013 with an auction result of HKD 7,475,000.00 (€ 709,338.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2019 führte Phillips in Hong Kong die Auktion 20th Century & Contemporary Art & Design Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit China China (Painted Pottery Edition) von Zhu Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 562.500,00 (€ 64.377,97) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 500.000,00 – 700.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhu Wei erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ink And Wash Research Lectures Series im Oktober 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 7.475.000,00 (€ 709.338,68).
