Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Pines On Cliff by Zhu Meicun was sold in the Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy auction at Sothebys in New York in September 2018. The price achieved of USD 6,250.00 (€ 5,377.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhu Meicun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ladies Embroidering A Hundred Butterflies in April 2016 with an auction result of HKD 3,500,000.00 (€ 394,327.42).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Pines On Cliff von Zhu Meicun wurde im September 2018 in der Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy bei Sothebys in New York versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 6.250,00 (€ 5.377,73) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 5.000,00 – 7.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhu Meicun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ladies Embroidering A Hundred Butterflies im April 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 3.500.000,00 (€ 394.327,42).
