Auction result misses estimated price range
In March last year a collector was able to acquire the work Wisteria, 1867 by Zhou Xian for USD 637.50 (€ 574.69). This price was achieved in the auction The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale at Bonhams in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 800.00 – 1,200.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Xian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Six Circular Fans in October 2017 with an auction result of HKD 70,800.00 (€ 7,792.38).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im März letzten Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Wisteria, 1867 von Zhou Xian für USD 637,50 (€ 574,69) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion The Reverend Richard Fabian Collection of Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy, Part V The Online Sale bei Bonhams in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Xian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Six Circular Fans im Oktober 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 70.800,00 (€ 7.792,38).
