In April 2015 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Contemporary Asian Art, which included the work Ego Project: Cindy Sherman by Zhou Tiehai. The auction ended at the price of HKD 250,000.00 (€ 28,892.67), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of HKD 150,000.00 – 250,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhou Tiehai achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Will/We Must (Set Of 15 Works) in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 4,840,000.00 (€ 498,292.10).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im April 2015 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Contemporary Asian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Ego Project: Cindy Sherman von Zhou Tiehai zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von HKD 250.000,00 (€ 28.892,67) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 250.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhou Tiehai erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Will/We Must (Set Of 15 Works) im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 4.840.000,00 (€ 498.292,10).
