Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Zheng Guogu could be acquired at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2016 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Contemporary Asian Art auction, the work Sewing For Another Two Thousand Years - 6 changed hands for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,767.93) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of HKD 150,000.00 – 260,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zheng Guogu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Waterfall in May 2012 with an auction result of HKD 560,000.00 (€ 58,337.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zheng Guogu konnte im Oktober 2016 bei Sothebys in Hong Kong für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Contemporary Asian Art wechselte die Arbeit Sewing For Another Two Thousand Years - 6 für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.767,93) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 150.000,00 – 260.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zheng Guogu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Waterfall im Mai 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 560.000,00 (€ 58.337,11).
