Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Zheng Fu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2021. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphy In Clerical Script sold for HKD 625,000.00 (€ 66,067.33) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 300,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zheng Fu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Poems in Seal Script, which sold at auction in December this year for HKD 1,890,000.00 (€ 218,694.63).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zheng Fu erzielte im Mai 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphy In Clerical Script für HKD 625.000,00 (€ 66.067,33) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 300.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zheng Fu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Poems in Seal Script beobachtet, die im Dezember diesen Jahres für HKD 1.890.000,00 (€ 218.694,63) versteigert wurde.
