Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Lotus And Bamboo by Zhao Zhichen was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2020. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 12,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 13,750.00 (€ 1,484.56) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Zhichen achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Couplet In Clerical Script in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,164.76).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Lotus And Bamboo von Zhao Zhichen wurde im November 2020 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 12.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 13.750,00 (€ 1.484,56) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Zhichen erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Couplet In Clerical Script im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.164,76).
