Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In April 2014 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu by Zhao Zhichen. Here, the upper estimate of HKD 50,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for HKD 56,250.00 (€ 5,231.61). Admittedly, works by Zhao Zhichen have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Couplet In Clerical Script in September 2013 with an auction result of USD 30,000.00 (€ 22,164.76).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im April 2014 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphy Couplet In Lishu von Zhao Zhichen zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von HKD 50.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für HKD 56.250,00 (€ 5.231,61) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhao Zhichen auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Couplet In Clerical Script im September 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 30.000,00 (€ 22.164,76).
