This artwork by Zhao Yunyu achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in February 2021. In the Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online auction, the work Lotuses sold for HKD 30,000.00 (€ 3,197.72) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 15,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhao Yunyu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Tibet Ladies, which sold at auction in October 2015 for HKD 96,760.00 (€ 11,304.15).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 100 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhao Yunyu erzielte im Februar 2021 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Dawn of Spring: Chinese Paintings Online wurde die Arbeit Lotuses für HKD 30.000,00 (€ 3.197,72) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 15.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhao Yunyu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Tibet Ladies beobachtet, die im Oktober 2015 für HKD 96.760,00 (€ 11.304,15) versteigert wurde.
