Auction result well in line with expectations
In March last year Bonhams in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale, which included the work Searching for A Missing Sheep by Zhao Wangyun. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 44,625.00 (€ 5,137.12) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Wangyun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Riding Game in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 10,600,000.00 (€ 1,004,997.80).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im März letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese PaintingsThe Online Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Searching for A Missing Sheep von Zhao Wangyun zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 44.625,00 (€ 5.137,12) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Wangyun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Riding Game im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.600.000,00 (€ 1.004.997,80).
