The work Horse in the Forest by Zhao Wangyun was worth HKD 625,000.00 (€ 61,980.29) to a buyer in May 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Modern Paintings at Christies in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 30,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhao Wangyun achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Riding Game in November 2013 with an auction result of HKD 10,600,000.00 (€ 1,004,997.80).

Die Arbeit Horse in the Forest von Zhao Wangyun war einem Käufer im Mai 2013 HKD 625.000,00 (€ 61.980,29) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Modern Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 30.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhao Wangyun erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Riding Game im November 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 10.600.000,00 (€ 1.004.997,80).
