Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2020 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work After Wufeng Steles by Zhang Zuyi. It changed hands for a price of HKD 75,000.00 (€ 8,217.26) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Zuyi - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Calligraphy In Lishu, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 162,500.00 (€ 18,780.24).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juli 2020 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit After Wufeng Steles von Zhang Zuyi zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 75.000,00 (€ 8.217,26) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 60.000,00 – 80.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Zuyi mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Calligraphy In Lishu beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 162.500,00 (€ 18.780,24) versteigert wurde.
