Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In March 2014 Christies in New York held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings, which included the work Landscapes by Zhang Zhiwan. The »bidding war« ended at USD 8,125.00 (€ 5,897.51), 16% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Zhiwan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,446.17).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im März 2014 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscapes von Zhang Zhiwan zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 8.125,00 (€ 5.897,51) und damit 16% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Zhiwan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im September 2012 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.446,17) versteigert wurde.
