Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2018 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape in Style of Ju Ran by Zhang Zhiwan. The price achieved of HKD 43,750.00 (€ 4,779.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Zhiwan have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Landscape in September 2012 with an auction result of USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,446.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2018 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape in Style of Ju Ran von Zhang Zhiwan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 43.750,00 (€ 4.779,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Zhiwan auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Landscape im September 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.446,17).
