Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in New York held the auction Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy, which included the work Landscape by Zhang Zhiwan. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 20,000.00 – 40,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 21,250.00 (€ 17,988.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Zhang Zhiwan have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in September 2012 the work Landscape was auctioned for USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,446.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im September 2017 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Fine Classical Chinese Paintings & Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Landscape von Zhang Zhiwan zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 20.000,00 – 40.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 21.250,00 (€ 17.988,66) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Zhang Zhiwan konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im September 2012 die Arbeit Landscape für USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.446,17) versteigert.
