Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2018 POLY held the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II, which included the work Calligraphic Couplets by Zhang Zhiwan. The price achieved of HKD 70,800.00 (€ 7,470.53) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 60,000.00 – 100,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Zhiwan - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscape, which sold at auction in September 2012 for USD 25,000.00 (€ 19,446.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2018 führte POLY die Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy II durch, in der auch die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplets von Zhang Zhiwan zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 70.800,00 (€ 7.470,53) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 60.000,00 – 100.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Zhiwan mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Landscape beobachtet, die im September 2012 für USD 25.000,00 (€ 19.446,17) versteigert wurde.
