Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Cat by Zhang Zhengyu was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April 2021. It changed hands for a price of HKD 17,700.00 (€ 1,895.06) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhang Zhengyu have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Calligraphy in April this year with an auction result of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 12,254.35).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Cat von Zhang Zhengyu wurde im April 2021 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 17.700,00 (€ 1.895,06) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Zhengyu auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Calligraphy im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 12.254,35).
