A top price for Zhang Zhengyu - as previously expected
The work Calligraphy by Zhang Zhengyu was auctioned at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 12,000.00 (€ 12,254.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Calligraphy is the most expensive artwork by Zhang Zhengyu that we have observed at auctions so far.
Ein Spitzenpreis mit Ansage
Die Arbeit Calligraphy von Zhang Zhengyu kam im April diesen Jahres bei China Guardian in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 10.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 12.000,00 (€ 12.254,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Auch wenn das Ergebnis damit nicht positiv überraschen konnte, ist Calligraphy das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhang Zhengyu, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
