Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Album Of Flowers And Birds by Zhang Yin was sold in the Thoughts Across the Waters: Asian Art from the David Drabkin Collection auction at Christies in New York in September last year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 10,000.00 – 20,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 11,340.00 (€ 11,591.54) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Yin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Landscapes, which sold at auction in June 2015 for HKD 400,000.00 (€ 46,261.43).
