Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
In June 2007 Sothebys in Hong Kong held the auction An Important Private Collection of Reunification Art - A Charity Auction to Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong's Reunification with China - to benefit The China Red Cross Foundation, which included the work Morning Of Hong Kong by Zhang Wei. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 240,000.00 (€ 22,704.14), 20% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Zhang Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Ac12 in October 2015 with an auction result of HKD 1,125,000.00 (€ 131,429.99).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Im Juni 2007 führte Sothebys in Hong Kong die Auktion An Important Private Collection of Reunification Art - A Charity Auction to Celebrate the 10th Anniversary of Hong Kong's Reunification with China - to benefit The China Red Cross Foundation durch, in der auch die Arbeit Morning Of Hong Kong von Zhang Wei zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 240.000,00 (€ 22.704,14) und damit 20% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Ac12 im Oktober 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.125.000,00 (€ 131.429,99).
