Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy by Zhang Ruitu was auctioned at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 400,000.00 – 800,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 500,000.00 (€ 54,627.25) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Ruitu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eighteen Luohan in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 2,230,000.00 (€ 1,984,338.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Running-Cursive Script Calligraphy von Zhang Ruitu kam im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 400.000,00 – 800.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 500.000,00 (€ 54.627,25) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Ruitu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eighteen Luohan im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.230.000,00 (€ 1.984.338,85).
