The work Five-Character Poem in Running Script by Zhang Ruitu was sold in the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction at Christies in Hong Kong in July 2020. It achieved a price of HKD 750,000.00 (€ 82,172.58), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 50%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Ruitu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eighteen Luohan in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 2,230,000.00 (€ 1,984,338.85).

Die Arbeit Five-Character Poem in Running Script von Zhang Ruitu wurde im Juli 2020 in der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 750.000,00 (€ 82.172,58) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 50%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Ruitu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eighteen Luohan im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.230.000,00 (€ 1.984.338,85).
