It achieved a price of USD 25,000.00 (€ 20,292.21), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 39%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Ruitu achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Eighteen Luohan in September 2016 with an auction result of USD 2,230,000.00 (€ 1,984,338.85).

Die Arbeit Empty Hut In Sparse Woods von Zhang Ruitu kam im März 2018 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 20.292,21) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 39%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Ruitu erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Eighteen Luohan im September 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 2.230.000,00 (€ 1.984.338,85).
