In May 2014 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy, which included the work Narcissus and Rock by Zhang Mu. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 125,000.00 (€ 11,821.85), 56% above the upper estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhang Mu; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Eagle sold at auction in November 2019 with the realized price of HKD 187,500.00 (€ 21,746.53).

Im Mai 2014 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy durch, in der auch die Arbeit Narcissus and Rock von Zhang Mu zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 125.000,00 (€ 11.821,85) und damit 56% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhang Mu; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Eagle im November 2019 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 187.500,00 (€ 21.746,53).
