Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Still Life With Peaches by Zhang Meili was sold in the 20th Century Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2013. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 88,000.00 – 128,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 93,750.00 (€ 9,177.08) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Meili - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still Life With Flowers And Fruits, which sold at auction in October 2012 for HKD 212,500.00 (€ 21,154.89).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Still Life With Peaches von Zhang Meili wurde im April 2013 in der Auktion 20th Century Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 88.000,00 – 128.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 93.750,00 (€ 9.177,08) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Meili mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still Life With Flowers And Fruits beobachtet, die im Oktober 2012 für HKD 212.500,00 (€ 21.154,89) versteigert wurde.
