Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Paradise Series No.8 by Zhang Linhai was sold in the Contemporary Chinese Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in October 2008. It achieved a price of HKD 620,000.00 (€ 63,065.76), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 24%. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Linhai - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Red Flag, which sold at auction in May 2007 for HKD 2,640,000.00 (€ 251,381.85).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Paradise Series No.8 von Zhang Linhai wurde im Oktober 2008 in der Auktion Contemporary Chinese Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 620.000,00 (€ 63.065,76) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 24%. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Linhai mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Red Flag beobachtet, die im Mai 2007 für HKD 2.640.000,00 (€ 251.381,85) versteigert wurde.
