This artwork by Zhang Li achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2013. In the Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) auction, the work Portrait of a Girl with Head Dressed II sold for HKD 437,500.00 (€ 43,386.20) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 250,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Li - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Shepherd, which sold at auction in March 2007 for USD 180,000.00 (€ 134,589.50).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 75 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Li erzielte im Mai 2013 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Asian 20th Century Art (Day Sale) wurde die Arbeit Portrait of a Girl with Head Dressed II für HKD 437.500,00 (€ 43.386,20) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 250.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Li mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Shepherd beobachtet, die im März 2007 für USD 180.000,00 (€ 134.589,50) versteigert wurde.
