Auction result misses estimated price range
In June 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Seductions of Spring by Zhang Jianguo for HKD 32,500.00 (€ 3,732.97). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Art Asia: Kid at heART at Christies in Hong Kong and was even below the estimate range of HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Zhang Jianguo have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Galatea and Those Legs in May 2010 with an auction result of HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,180.53).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juni 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Seductions of Spring von Zhang Jianguo für HKD 32.500,00 (€ 3.732,97) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Art Asia: Kid at heART bei Christies in Hong Kong erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 80.000,00 – 120.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Jianguo auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Galatea and Those Legs im Mai 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.180,53).
