A top price for Zhang Jianguo
In May 2010 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale), which included the work Galatea and Those Legs by Zhang Jianguo. The »bidding war« ended at HKD 175,000.00 (€ 18,180.53), 17% above the upper estimate. With this result, Galatea and Those Legs is even the most expensive work of art by Zhang Jianguo that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Mai 2010 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Chinese 20th Century Art (Day Sale) durch, in der auch die Arbeit Galatea and Those Legs von Zhang Jianguo zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von HKD 175.000,00 (€ 18.180,53) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Galatea and Those Legs sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Zhang Jianguo, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
