Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2021 Christies in Hong Kong held the auction Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online, which included the work Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script by Zhang Jian. It changed hands for a price of HKD 47,500.00 (€ 5,021.12) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 30,000.00 – 50,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reflection of Moon in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,437,500.00 (€ 147,994.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2021 führte Christies in Hong Kong die Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online durch, in der auch die Arbeit Seven-Character Calligraphic Couplet In Running Script von Zhang Jian zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 47.500,00 (€ 5.021,12) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 30.000,00 – 50.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reflection of Moon im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.437.500,00 (€ 147.994,81).
