This artwork by Zhang Jian achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2018. In the Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script sold for HKD 112,500.00 (€ 12,291.13) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 40,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Jian achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Reflection of Moon in October 2014 with an auction result of HKD 1,437,500.00 (€ 147,994.81).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Zhang Jian erzielte im Mai 2018 bei Christies in Hong Kong einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Fine Chinese Classical Paintings and Calligraphy wurde die Arbeit Calligraphic Couplet in Running Script für HKD 112.500,00 (€ 12.291,13) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 40.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Jian erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Reflection of Moon im Oktober 2014 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 1.437.500,00 (€ 147.994,81).
