Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Wild Geese by Zhang Guchu was sold in the Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online auction at Christies in Hong Kong in May 2019. It changed hands for a price of HKD 27,500.00 (€ 3,147.37) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Zhang Guchu - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Recluse By The Spring Bamboo, which sold at auction in April 2015 for HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,557.07).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Wild Geese von Zhang Guchu wurde im Mai 2019 in der Auktion Exquisite Eye: Chinese Paintings Online bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 27.500,00 (€ 3.147,37) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Zhang Guchu mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Recluse By The Spring Bamboo beobachtet, die im April 2015 für HKD 100.000,00 (€ 11.557,07) versteigert wurde.
