A top price for Zhang Guchu - as previously expected
The work Recluse By The Spring Bamboo by Zhang Guchu was auctioned at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2015. The price achieved of HKD 100,000.00 (€ 11,557.07) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 80,000.00 – 120,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Recluse By The Spring Bamboo is the most expensive artwork by Zhang Guchu that we have observed at auctions so far.
