Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Sketch by Zhang Ding was worth HKD 102,000.00 (€ 11,346.09) to a buyer in October 2021. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy at China Guardian and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 20,000.00 many times over. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Ding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Smoky Landscape Of Qilian in July last year with an auction result of HKD 2,880,000.00 (€ 359,364.83).

Die Arbeit Sketch von Zhang Ding war einem Käufer im Oktober 2021 HKD 102.000,00 (€ 11.346,09) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Ding erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Smoky Landscape Of Qilian im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.880.000,00 (€ 359.364,83).
