The work Couplet In Seal Script by Zhang Ding was sold in the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction at China Guardian in Hong Kong in April this year. It achieved a price of HKD 66,000.00 (€ 67,398.91), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 65%. Admittedly, works by Zhang Ding have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Smoky Landscape Of Qilian in July last year with an auction result of HKD 2,880,000.00 (€ 359,364.83).

Die Arbeit Couplet In Seal Script von Zhang Ding wurde im April diesen Jahres in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy bei China Guardian in Hong Kong versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von HKD 66.000,00 (€ 67.398,91) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 65%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhang Ding auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Smoky Landscape Of Qilian im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.880.000,00 (€ 359.364,83).
