Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Landscape In Mount Wuyi by Zhang Ding was sold in the Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings auction at Christies in Hong Kong in October 2004. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of HKD 40,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of HKD 41,825.00 (€ 4,213.35) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zhang Ding achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Smoky Landscape Of Qilian in July last year with an auction result of HKD 2,880,000.00 (€ 359,364.83).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Landscape In Mount Wuyi von Zhang Ding wurde im Oktober 2004 in der Auktion Fine Modern and Contemporary Chinese Paintings bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von HKD 40.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von HKD 41.825,00 (€ 4.213,35) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zhang Ding erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Smoky Landscape Of Qilian im Juli letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.880.000,00 (€ 359.364,83).
