Artwork auctioned at five times the upper estimate price
The work Pink Lotus by Zhang Dazhuang was worth HKD 300,000.00 (€ 29,366.65) to a buyer in April 2013. This price was achieved in the auction Fine Chinese Paintings at Sothebys in Hong Kong and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of HKD 60,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Zhang Dazhuang; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Blossoms In Four Seasons sold at auction in April 2018 with the realized price of HKD 350,000.00 (€ 36,930.59).

Die Arbeit Pink Lotus von Zhang Dazhuang war einem Käufer im April 2013 HKD 300.000,00 (€ 29.366,65) wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Fine Chinese Paintings bei Sothebys in Hong Kong erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von HKD 60.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Zhang Dazhuang; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Blossoms In Four Seasons im April 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von HKD 350.000,00 (€ 36.930,59).
