Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Artificial Rock No. 76 by Zhan Wang was sold in the Contemporary Art auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in April 2019. The price achieved of HKD 1,187,500.00 (€ 135,172.08) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 1,000,000.00 – 1,500,000.00. Admittedly, works by Zhan Wang have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Artificial Rock No. 131 in November 2010 with an auction result of HKD 6,380,000.00 (€ 630,365.14).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Artificial Rock No. 76 von Zhan Wang wurde im April 2019 in der Auktion Contemporary Art bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 1.187.500,00 (€ 135.172,08) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 1.000.000,00 – 1.500.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Zhan Wang auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Artificial Rock No. 131 im November 2010 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 6.380.000,00 (€ 630.365,14).
