A top price for Zha Shibiao
This artwork by Zha Shibiao achieved an unexpectedly high price at POLY in Grand Hyatt Hong Kong in April this year. In the Fine Chinese Paintings and Calligraphy auction, the work Visiting Friends In The Hill sold for HKD 1,296,000.00 (€ 1,323,469.57) - well above the upper estimate of HKD 600,000.00. This high result makes Visiting Friends In The Hill the most expensive artwork by Zha Shibiao that we have observed at auctions so far.
