Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Liquidated Google by Zevs was sold in the Contemporary Showcase: Kawaii Pop auction at Sothebys in Hong Kong in May 2021. The price achieved of HKD 7,560.00 (€ 799.15) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as HKD 6,000.00 – 9,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Zevs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Illuminated Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, Grand Odalisque - 2012 in October 2018 with an auction result of EUR 65,000.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Liquidated Google von Zevs wurde im Mai 2021 in der Auktion Contemporary Showcase: Kawaii Pop bei Sothebys in Hong Kong versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von HKD 7.560,00 (€ 799,15) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit HKD 6.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Zevs erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Illuminated Jean Auguste Dominique Ingres, Grand Odalisque - 2012 im Oktober 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 65.000,00.
